Holmgren needs more time

That type of decision will be made once I get back there.” They had talked on the phone about other “football” issues, but nothing concerned the coach’s future.

The Browns announced that they hire former Seahawks and Packers head coach Mike Holmgren as the team president Monday.

“We are pleased to announce that Mike Holmgren has agreed to join the Cleveland Browns,” Browns owner Randy Lerner said Monday in a statement released by the club. “We will spend the rest of the week finalizing the details of the agreement and will make a formal announcement next week, at which time we will make him available to the media.” At very beginning,Holmgren will not coach the Browns according to ESPN.
